# About BrokerMeta

> Positioning, the five product principles, and an explicit list of what BrokerMeta is not

Positioning: **the broker data API built with brokers**. Infrastructure sitting between broker
partners and the publishers, comparison platforms and AI systems that describe their products.

## Principles

1. **Facts come from the source** — supplied by participating brokers wherever possible, rather
than scraped from pages that may themselves be out of date.
2. **Jurisdiction is not an afterthought** — every value is attached to the legal entity, licence
   and jurisdiction it applies to.
3. **Facts and opinions stay separate** — ratings, verdicts and recommendations belong to
   publishers.
4. **Changes are recorded, not overwritten** — versioned with effective dates.
5. **Neutral between competitors** — no ranking logic, no paid placement inside the data.

## What BrokerMeta is not

Not a broker or trading platform. Not an investment product or adviser. Not a review or ratings
website. Not a scraping service. Not an AI writing tool. Not a ranking or placement business.

BrokerMeta does not provide financial, investment or trading advice, and nothing it publishes is a
recommendation to use any broker.

## About this file

Markdown version of https://brokermeta.ai/about, provided under the [llms.txt](https://llmstxt.org)
proposal. The index of every such file is at https://brokermeta.ai/llms.txt.

Every broker value in BrokerMeta material is an illustrative example for a fictional
"Example Broker". No real broker is described, and nothing here is financial advice.
